Allies Start New Drive

Amsterdam, Oct 14- The new offensive movement undertaken by the allied forces on the Western front has again altered the aspect of the campaign and it is expected that the necessity of maintaining a large force there will prevent the Germans from pushing the advance into the Balkans.

ROME, Oct. 14.- The pope has received further assurances from the sultan of Turkey to the effect that he will do all in his power to stop the massacre of Armenians.
