Bald-Faced Lies: Pressed about the deportations of Armenians by the US Foreign Service officials, the Turkish Minister for Foreign Affairs “emphatically asserted that all deportation of Armenians had ceased and that no more would take place,” as reported on 3/8/1916 in the #NewYorkTimes.  The #ArmenianGenocide would continue through 1923, leaving 1.5 million dead. #GenocideDiary
