Another Appeal Made Turkey

Washington, D.C., Aug. 23.- The United States embassy at Constantinople has been notified by the state department to appeal to the Turkish government in behalf of the Armenians. The Turkish advance into Persia has threatened the lifes of the Armenians there. The embassy is instructed to appeal to the porte in the name of humanity not to permit the massacre of these innocent men, women and children.
